• The Onion -  I don't hear much about them anymore, but "America's Finest News Source" still has some terrific, wry writing.

• Animals Have Problems Too -  Exactly what you would expect if you were insane.

• ytmnd.com - This is the biggest media experiment going on.  A lot of memes start here, although a lot of them are in-jokes that you'd only get if you check into it regularly.  (e.g., the NEDM meme is so far removed from the original reference that it has lost all meaning.)

• Black People Love Us -  This is clever and insightful, unless you don't understand social commentary.

• Technical Virgin -  A terrific parody.  I pity those who don't get the joke.

• Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster -  Creationists beware.  You have serious competition.

• Things My Girlfriend and I Have Argued About -  Funny or sad?  You decide.

• God Hates Shrimp -  Because true Christians don't cherry pick which verses to fundamentally adhere to.

Neat (more interesting than silly)

• Optical illusions - A terrific collection with explanations for the psychology and neuroscience of the underlying mechanisms behind these effects.

• Is there an Artificial God? -  Douglas Adams' speech at a Digital Biota conference.  This collects some really brilliant ideas and is very witty besides.  Probably the best thing you will read this year.
